Surveying For     Canal To Link          Placid To June     Engineers have started the survey for the propsed canal linking Placid Lake to Lake June, and thus linking the club's 7-Lakes project on the former lake with the waterways leading via Istokpoga and the Kissimmee river to the Atlantic and the Gulf.     The canal is one of the projects promised by the land company when it induced the Lake Placid Club to locate its southern branch here.
